This is a call going out to all my fellow Team Ballistic teammates! It looks like another owner of the Darkside Paintball Arena up in Brookings has failed to reach that every illusive “break even” point necessary to make owning a paintball field at least survivable.

Now I realize that we’ve been burned 3 times before by trying to help a new owner run the arena by contributing a vast amount of time and energy to get them up to speed on how to run a paintball field, only to be  left out in the cold as soon as the money and sponsorship opportunities started to roll in.  However, I think this time we would really be able to bask in the benefits of helping a field owner out and contributing to the advancement of paintball in eastern South Dakota.

Alright, in all seriousness now, I really don’t know what  is a bigger April Fools joke.  The post I just started writing here or the post that Jeff made in the forum asking for $20,000?  Unless he’s got a pile of gold stashed in one of those rooms, I really don’t know what he’s selling.  He can’t have more than 5k in inventory and possibly another 3k in paint to sell!  What else is there?  A hand full of beat up bunkers (which we built for free 5 years and 2 owners ago) and a pile of free plastic barrels?  Maybe what that 20k is for the honor of paying that high lease payment each month on a busted up office space that is really in need of gutting.

Ah…the hilarity that is a field owner in the world of paintball.
