Gadgetopia posted a while ago about the new KERS system that was being developed for F1. Granted, when I first heard about it, I was thinking the same thing that Deane was….probably the coolest thing ever for car racing.
Well, apparently the mechanics may disagree. There have been a couple cases so far including this latest one caught on video that demonstrate the danger of large amounts of energy held in the form of electricity and predominantly what happens when it goes bad.
Now kids, sharpen up those #2 pencils, grab your favorite college ruled note book from your transformers trapper keeper and lets learn about conductors and insulators. (here’s a hint mechanic=conductor)
